Sharon Conte, BC-HIS

My name is Sharon Conte, BC-HIS, Nationally Board Certified in Hearing Instrument Sciences and a licensed Hearing Instrument Specialist by the state of North Carolina. I’ve been in the hearing aid business since 1991. I started in the hearing aid because of my mom who was deaf in one ear since the age of 8, I remember always having to make sure I talked to her on her right side so that she could hear. My grandmother was a totally different person after the family purchased hearing aids for her.

I believe hearing aids truly make a difference in people’s lives. I love watching my patients once I put the aids in his/her ears and he/she begin to hear sounds he/she haven’t heard in a long time. My husband and I moved to New Bern on December 1, 2023, after living in Matthews, NC for 38 years. I’m originally from the Western Pennsylvania area. We’re anxiously waiting for our new house to be finished and hoping to move in at the end of February. In my spare time, I love spending time with my family, walking, riding my bike and exploring new areas.
